Traumaattisista historiallisista tapahtumista kertovissa kaunokirjallisissa teoksissa voidaan nähdä implisiittistä historian kuvausta. Tamás Kisantal lähestyy väitöksessään kaunokirjallisia tekstejä historiallis-filosofisesta näkökulmasta ja soveltaa narratiivisen historianfilosofian metodeja esimerkiksi holokaustiin liittyvän kirjallisuuden tarkastelemiseen.
